Craft skills assessment and training

Brief.  AF is accredited by the National Center for Construction, Education and Research (NCCER) to conduct craft skills assessments and training.  As noted, AF’s RCM/FMEA process is implemented to identify the right work to perform.  However, it is of little value to identify the right work if it cannot be executed right the first time.  This requires highly skilled craft both in-house and contractors.  Up until the 1970’s and 1980’s, most of U.S. industry trained their craft using 4-Year Apprentice Programs.  Unfortunately, most of these programs were canceled due to rising costs and stiff competition.  As a result, most of the highly skilled craft have now retired or are reaching retirement over the next 10 years.  AF has conducted numerous craft skills assessments.  What we have learned is that the average current-day craft has a skill level somewhere between 40-50% of that held by the 4-Year apprentice graduate.  This single factor is costing industry billions of dollars in high downtime and lost production!  AF will conduct craft skills assessment and custom fit craft skills training for you.

Benefits.  Our clients are very satisfied with our training which is geared towards reducing your downtime and rework by a factor of 10-30% with a resulting increase in your production levels as well as reduced safety and environmental events.
