Continuous Improvment (CI)
Brief. Everyone knows the importance of CI but few
have effective programs. Advisory First
has developed a highly effective CI process using lessons learned from many
years of experience. Tools used include:
- KISS, or Keep It Simple!
- Developing KPI and metrics that can be auto-generated using your computerized
maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Teaching your employees how to perform Root Cause analysis in a simple and effective manner
- Working with your managers and supervisors to build accountability into the process so that actions identified are completed in a timely manner
- Using positive results from CI to reward deserving employees in order to
build morale and the desire to continue to get better day after day.
Remember that CI is the third
cornerstone of a World Class Reliability program (the bottom leg of AF
Reliability Triangle).
Benefits. CI is the cornerstone of a strong and effective reliability program. The initial development of any of our offerings produces strong but not
perfect solutions. CI strengthens the initial programs year after year until World Class is
achieved and maintained.
